In a report by the Nigerian Tribune, Adams provided an example to illustrate the financial strain, noting that a round trip to Ibadan can cost as much as N250,000 for just one vehicle.
This, he emphasized, highlights the heavy burden on those who need to maintain several vehicles for their travels.
He criticized the notion of staying silent on the issue due to tribal affiliations, stressing the importance of addressing the high fuel costs. Adams argued that such issues must be confronted head-on, regardless of tribal ties.
To further underline his point, Adams discussed the potential expenses involved when traveling with a convoy of six vehicles, estimating that a single trip to Ibadan could cost around N1.5 million.
His statement reflects the urgent need for a solution to alleviate the financial challenges caused by rising fuel prices.
