Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, represented by the Executive Secretary Haruna Abdullahi at the event, approved the extension of food distribution to security personnel and their families. This gesture aims to support officers during these challenging times and is part of the broader efforts by the state government to alleviate the hardships currently being experienced across the country.

Danmalam highlighted that this distribution aligns with the ongoing efforts of the Gombe State Government to provide essential food supplies to its citizens. Previously, the state had distributed assorted food items across all 11 Local Government Areas, with the supplies provided by the Federal Government and the North-East Development Commission. These efforts are intended to mitigate the severe food shortages affecting the region.

Governor Yahaya’s administration has consistently offered palliatives to vulnerable groups, religious organizations, and civil society organizations. The governor assured that further distributions are planned and urged the leadership of the security agencies to ensure that the food items are distributed equitably among their personnel.
