The Ondo State Governor, His Excellency Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, took a courageous stance by storming the ancient city of Arogbo, the traditional headquarters of Arogbo Kingdom in Ese-Odo Local Government Area, to canvass support in favour of his governorship race under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).... The visit, which took place yesterday, August 18, 2024, showcased the governor’s resolve to engage with the people and address their concerns through a transformative and impactful approach.
Upon arrival, Governor Aiyedatiwa was warmly received by His Imperial Majesty Pere Zacheus Doubra Egbenu (JP) Opukutu III, the paramount ruler and Agadagba of Arogbo Kingdom, and other dignitaries, including Senior High Bibopere Ajube (the Pathfinder of Arogbo-Ibe), Hon. Donald K. Ojogo (HRM), High Chief Japhet Iborry (the Agwou of Agwoubiri), High Chief Feku (the Tarabiritoru of Arogbo), and other highly respected chiefs in the traditional council of Arogbo Kingdom.
In his remarks, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and acknowledged the security outfits and press men from Arogbo Kingdom.
The governor praised His Imperial Majesty for his leadership and assured the people that all outstanding issues in the kingdom would be addressed in a radical and decisive manner.
“We are committed to ensuring that all the remaining traditional rulers in the Kingdom are installed,” Aiyedatiwa promised. “We will work tirelessly to address the challenges facing our people, and I assure you that our administration will not disappoint you. We will bring about radical change and transformation to Arogbo Kingdom and Ondo State as a whole.”
His Imperial Majesty Pere Zacheus Doubra Egbenu (JP) Opukutu III commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his visit and his commitment to the development of Arogbo Kingdom.
“We are pleased with the Governor’s efforts to engage with our people and address our concerns,” the paramount ruler said. “We offer our unconditional support and partnership with him in his governorship campaign. We appreciate his commitment to a paradigm shift, and we are confident that he will deliver.”
Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube, in his statement hailed Governor Aiyedatiwa for his courage and determination in pursuing consensus from the people of Arogbo Kingdom. “We are impressed with the Governor’s bold step in coming to Arogbo Kingdom to seek our support,” Ajube said.
“We assure him of our total support and cooperation in his governorship campaign. We will work tirelessly to ensure his victory at the polls…” The statement added.
High Chief Agwou in his remarks also acclaimed Governor Aiyedatiwa for his leadership and vision for Arogbo Kingdom and Ondo State,
“We are impressed with the Governor’s statesmanship and sagacity for the kingdom and Ondo State. We vow to stand behind him and work together in his governorship campaign. We will not capitulate to ensure his victory at the polls.”
Hon. Donald Ojogo, the member representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency, while speaking, extolled Governor Aiyedatiwa for his commitment to the development of Arogbo Kingdom and Ondo State as a whole. “We are pleased with the Governor’s efforts to develop our constituency and Ondo State,” Ojogo said.
“We assure him of our pledge to provide full backing and collaboration for his continuity. We will work relentlessly to make certain of his electoral triumph.”
While expressing his gratitude, Hon. Donald Ojogo appreciated the Governor for his visit and his commitment to the development of Arogbo Kingdom. “We acknowledge the Governor’s prodigious efforts for his visit and commitment to the reformation of Arogbo Kingdom,
