Governor Alia Condemns ‘Barbaric, Unacceptable’ Fresh Benue Attack That Killed Nine

Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has condemned a fresh attack on Mbalom-Mbatsada-Agana community in Gwer Local Government Area that claimed nine lives. In a statement, the governor described the attack as “barbaric” and “unacceptable,” calling it a direct affront to the collective peace and security of the state. Chairman of Gwer LGA, Timothy Adi, said there was a security alert and advisory that terrorists would attack. The attackers stormed the village between 5-6pm on Holy Saturday.
