Premier League greats Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney have heaped praise on Chido Obi-Martin for his impressive performance against Fulham in the FA Cup.
The 17-year-old came on as a second-half substitute for Rasmus Hojlund and put up quite a decent performance for the Red Devils.
Former Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney believes the youngster of Nigerian descent showed glimpses of a great striker against the Cottagers.
“The young lad Chido Obi, what I like about him is he’s put himself in good positions. Naive with some of his chances, but it is encouraging for Man Utd. I’ve been really impressed with him.”
Shearer added that Obi caused the Fulham defense more problems after his introduction.
“Obi has given the defenders more problems with his presence. It’s been uncomfortable for the centre halves,” the Newcastle United legend said on Match of the Day.
