In an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today, he addressed concerns related to the planned nationwide protest, stating that while people are suffering, they should question their state governors about the utilization of increased federal revenues.

Sule pointed out that the president’s economic decisions, such as subsidy removal and forex floating, are aimed at economic reforms. He acknowledged the public’s concerns about these policies and the whereabouts of the funds, explaining that the money is being distributed to various entities and benefiting people in different ways.

Using Nasarawa State as an example, Sule urged citizens to scrutinize their state governors’ actions with the improved revenue. He highlighted that President Tinubu’s administration is actively working on infrastructure projects, like the highways from Badagry to Calabar and Calabar to Abuja.

He noted that both state and local governments are seeing increased revenues, with Nasarawa’s local governments receiving over N4 billion compared to the previous N2.2 billion. These local governments, he said, are now debt-free and able to save, which enables them to manage minimum wage requirements.

Sule concluded that instead of blaming the federal government for economic issues, people should investigate state-level actions to understand how funds are being utilized.
