Heavy Security Presence As Lagos Assembly Schedules Plenary For 1 Pm

With its Monday, March 3, plenary scheduled to begin at 1 pm, the Lagos State House of Assembly Complex has been met with heavy security presence.

Politics Nigeria gathered that several security operatives have surrounded the complex and its environs pending the commencement of the plenary today.

The heavy security presence is not unconnected with the leadership crisis rocking the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Recall that weeks after his impeachment, Mudashiru Obasa had stormed the Lagos Assembly and reinstated himself as the Speaker of the House.

This particular action by Obasa has rattled the camp of the newly appointed Speaker, Mojisola Meranda.

Also, some lawmakers including the new Speaker have arrived the at the Compex ahead of the plenary.
