Popular Nigerian TikTok streamer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has stopped attending lectures at Caleb University only days after resuming academic activities.
Naija News reports that the decision became public after a voice note he shared began circulating online.
In the message, Peller explained that he found it hard to adjust to the regular classroom system, which he felt did not suit his current lifestyle and career path.
According to him, sitting in lectures for long hours without earning money felt like a waste of effort, especially when compared to the income he makes from content creation and streaming.
He made it clear that the routine of writing notes and listening in class for several hours did not align with his personal goals at this stage of his life.
Peller also spoke about feeling uncomfortable among his classmates, saying that many of them appeared much older than him.
He jokingly suggested that he might only feel ready for university again when he is much older, possibly in his thirties or forties.
Mental exhaustion was another reason he gave for stepping away from school. He described the classroom environment as draining and said he needed time off to rest his mind and focus on himself.
He said: “I will now sit inside class for like seven hours and be writing and looking? And play play not making anything? God forbid.
“When I entered the school I see that everybody is old, so me too I need to get old like 30 or 40 years before I go. I am tired.
“I need a break from the classroom environment.”
