According to Muzau Magaji, “I understand the problem that we inherited and the reforms are necessary but they need to be tempered, and the reason is simple. If you (Tinubu) do what you are doing to Nigeria today with Lagos, Lagos is prosperous enough. It is productive enough to withstand the stock of taxations and inflations. Lagos has the capacity to withstand that and grow, and then return the tax you want to get. If he (Tinubu) does what he did to Lagos in Nigeria, 90 percent of Nigerians will not have the capacity to bear those difficulties and challenges.”
