“If he goes back to United” – Oshoala reacts to Rashford’s resurgence at Barcelona

Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has weighed in on Marcus Rashford’s revival at Barcelona following his loan move from Manchester United, Soccernet.ng reports.

The six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year suggests the English forward may find it hard to return to Old Trafford after rediscovering his joy for football in Spain.

Rashford was benched for the starting XI due to arriving late for a pre-match meeting, per TalkSPORT, but came on at halftime and made a big impact by providing the assist for Dani Olmo’s goal, which sealed the victory.

Her comment comes in the wake of Rashford’s standout performance in the Champions League, where he scored two goals to seal Barcelona’s 2-1 away win over Newcastle.

The 27-year-old striker had endured a tough spell at Manchester United before his loan move, but under coach Hansi Flick, he has started to show flashes of his best form.
Has Rashford Found His Form?

Though Rashford is still searching for his first La Liga goal, his influence has been felt through assists, key passes, and chance creation. He has also earned high ratings in Europe, including an 8.8 match rating for his brace at St James’ Park.

Off the pitch, the England international recently made headlines after arriving late to a team meeting, which saw Flick drop him to the bench for a league game against Getafe. Despite that disciplinary setback, he came on to assist Dani Olmo, further proving his value.
