Ijaw Youths Shuts Down East-West Road Over Move to Impeach Fubara [VIDEO]

Youths from the Ijaw ethnic group have blocked a section of the East-West Road in Rivers State, disrupting traffic in protest against the planned impeachment of Governor Siminalayi Fubara by the state assembly.

The East-West Road is a major highway linking key cities in the Niger Delta, including Port Harcourt, Warri, and Calabar, making it a critical route for transportation and commerce.

Tensions have been rising in Rivers State following the state lawmakersโ€™ move to remove Governor Fubara.
