La Gazzetta dello Sport had a brief review of Jorginho’s work in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Bayern, underlining how “gives orders but doesn’t shine”.

Tuttosport echoed these sentiments and suggested he made some uncharacteristic errors in the tense encounter, saying: “Good in coverage, some mistakes that you don’t expect from him”.

Eurosport were even less impressed than their counterparts, believing he wasn’t up to the level of the Champions League clash, saying: “Too slow for these games. In fact, he suffered and didn’t have the strength to chase when Bayern countered. He tried to manage possession, but didn’t shine.”
