A campaign flyer of former President Goodluck Jonathan and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in the 2023 elections has caused a stir on social media after it emerged on social media.
The flyer was posted on the Instagram handle of the popular blog, GoldMyne TV on Thursday, August 8 with the caption: “Under which party?”
Both political figures served and won elections on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Despite once being united by the same political party, they had a strained relationship when Jonathan was president.
In 2018, Kwankwaso who contested the 2018 presidential primaries of the PDP apologized to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, for previously describing his administration as the worst in the history of Nigeria.
He said at the time: “I believe today is the right day to apologize to our former administration; the administration we thought was the worst government.
“Today, we know better our ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.”

officialjordann wrote: Y’all fail to realize that whatever we experience during Jonathan’s reign was as a result of his cabinet as how incompetent they were , it was a whole lotta looting and corruption under Jonathan’s administration. However, I don’t think Jonathan is a bad person but if he ever decides to contest for the presidency, his whole cabinet needs to be reshuffled and drilled before assuming their roles Then we can see the changes but if he comes back with the same people, nothing is gonna change
