This new price comes shortly after the Nigerian government dismissed allegation that it was planning to increase the fuel pump price to N1,000 per litre.
The FG in a statement described the reports as outright falsehoods and “baseless fabrications aimed at sowing discord within the oil sector.
It added, “There was never a time FG interfered with petroleum pricing with NNPCL, let alone give directives for price increment.”
