Operatives of Lagos state Police command weekend arrested two suspected car thieves who specialised in robbing unsuspecting members of the public and carting away their properties in Lagos.... CLICK TO READ THE FULL NEWS HERE▶▶
The police command’s spokesperson, SP, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a release stated that the incident was reported on July 31, 2024, at about 1140hours.
The man who reported the incident said on July 31, at about 0300hrs, some unknown thieves came to their estate to vandalise vehicles and carted away their brain box and other valuable parts of their vehicles.
“Based on the strengths of this complaint, the detectives swung into action to get part perpetrators on August 3, 2024.
“Detectives traced the suspects to Ilewe junction in Ikotun area of the state and arrested one Jeferson Emeka Joshua, 47 , on August 10,2024 and one Donatus Okoro, 45 who also traced to Idowu street Ajegunle where he was arrested and while both confessed to the crime with their operational vehicle one Toyota Camry registered FKL 260 JJ Lagos.”
“Items recovered from them including Toyota Camry, one police beret, one handcuff,” Hundeyin stated.
However, effort has been intensified to arrest other members of the syndicates while the suspects will be charged to court after the investigation has been concluded.
