Widow of late Gen. David Bamigboye, the first Military Governor of Kwara State, Mrs. Beatrice Bamigboye, is dead. She died at the age of 76, ROYAL NEWS has gathered. Late Gen Bamigboye was the Military Governor of Kwara state from May 1967 to July 1975.

A statement issued by Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, said the Governor is saddened by the passing of Mrs Beatrice, wife of the first Governor of Kwara State Brigadier-General David Bamigboye.
“Mrs Bamigboye, who breathed her last in Lagos, is survived by five children and several grandchildren. Her burial rites will be announced by the family.
“Governor AbdulRazaq sends his heartfelt condolences to the Bamigboyes and her relatives in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State.”
He added that, “He prays to the Almighty God to repose her soul and grant the family the strength to bear the huge loss.”
