Maduka University Enugu completes first session, sets foundation for academic excellence

The completion of the first session underscores the university’s commitment to providing high-quality education and shaping the future of higher learning in the country.

Founded with a vision to become a leading centre of learning and research in Nigeria, Maduka University Enugu embarked on its inaugural academic session with enthusiasm and determination. Over the past year, the university has made significant strides in establishing itself as a hub of academic excellence and innovation.

During its first session, Maduka University introduced a wide range of academic programs spanning various disciplines, including engineering, business, social sciences, and the humanities. The university’s faculty, comprising renowned scholars and experts in their respective fields, delivered rigorous and engaging instruction, providing students with a strong foundation for success in their chosen careers.

In addition to its focus on academic excellence, Maduka University also prioritised student engagement and holistic development. The university organised a variety of extracurricular activities, including sports tournaments, cultural events, and campus crusades, to enrich the student experience and foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie among the student body.

The school year was rounded off with a Thanksgiving session and get-together.

The event marked the inauguration and swearing-in of the 16-member Students’ Consultative Forum (SCF). The highlight of the event was the beauty pageant.

At the end of the keenly contested exercise, Deborah Chizaram Okpara was crowned as MISS MADUKA, while Godswill M. Nnamchi emerged as MR. MADUKA.

Other category winners are Jessica Ezinne Ugwu, Face of Maduka; Nmesoma Geraldine Ogamba, Miss Tourism; Bernard Chidera Chiemeka, Mr. Tourism; Jessica Chinaza Emeribe, Miss Virtuous lady Lady; and David Pwanovi Gift, winner of the Spoken Word contest.

Reflecting on the completion of the first session, Prof. Charles Ogbulogo, the Vice-Chancellor of Maduka University, expressed satisfaction with the university’s accomplishments and the dedication of its faculty, staff, and students.

“Completing our first session is a significant achievement for Maduka University,” said Prof. Ogbulogo. “I am excited about the hard work and dedication demonstrated by our entire community as we worked together to establish a foundation for academic excellence and innovation.”
