Man prepares for his own burial, buys coffin and digs own grave

A Nigerian man has stirred emotional reactions online after a video surfaced showing him making arrangements for his own burial ahead of his passing. The video, shared on popular social media platform TikTok, captured the elderly man pointing to a coffin he had previously purchased.

In the clip, a voice is heard telling him the coffin appears to be damaged, to which he responds that he’s saving up at the bank to buy a new one.

“I’m saving up for a new coffin at the bank,” the man said. “I’ve also made plans for the grave—it was dug even before I got the coffin.”

He explained that his decision was influenced by personal experiences, including issues involving his son and the way success had treated him in life.
