Sowunmi shocked many over the weekend when he paid a visit to President Tinubu in his Lagos residence during the Sallah holiday. Sowunmi had been very critical of the Tinubu government and never missed an opportunity to express his reservation.

Many Nigerians felt that his recent visit is a preamble to defecting to the APC.

During his interview, Ms Kuti posed a question to Sowunmi, asking when he would be defecting.

‘’You had a lot of criticism for the President. Now you are tune seems to have changed. So when is your own move? When are you leaving PDP to APC” Ms. Yeni had asked.

A visibly irritated Sowunmi left the presenters stunned by his response.

‘’Although I can’t see who is asking that question. I didn’t come to your programme so you can try to be cheeky with me. Stop that!

Yeni immediately responded saying she cannot be cheeky with him because she knows she is older than him. When he finally found out that it was Ms Kuti that asked the question, he said ‘’Oh sister ooo! My Aunty! I take that back. Please do not be angry”.
