Minister hails NNPCL Ojulari’s appointment, calls for stakeholders’ support

Nigeria’s Minister of Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri has commended the appointment of Bayo Ojulari as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) by President Bola Tinubu.

Lokpobiri while describing Ojulari’s appointment as strategic, assured the state-owned oil and gas company of his ministry’s support and sector-wide collaboration.

In a statement issued by Nneamaka Okafor, the minister’s Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Lokpobiri congratulated the new NNPCL GCEO for his appointment.

He said Ojulari’s appointment and that of the new board chairman of NNPCL, Ahmadu Kida is well deserved. The minister also commended President Tinubu for being strategic in making such key appointments in line with the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act.

“This is a crucial step toward further repositioning NNPC Ltd. to meet the demands of the evolving global energy landscape.

“I urge all stakeholders to rally behind this new leadership as we work together to enhance production capacity, optimise value across the petroleum value chain, and secure a sustainable future for the sector,” Lokpobiri said.

The minister commended the immediate past GCEO of the company, Mele Kyari for his service to the NNPCL and Nigeria’s oil sector at large.
