Misuse of power leads to destruction, Fubara warns Speaker Amaewhule

The governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara has warned that the misuse of power can only lead to destruction in a man’s life.

Reacting to the continued crisis between him and the lawmakers of the Rivers State House of Assembly led by Martins Amaewhule, the governor said that politicians should know that, no power lasts forever.

Also stating what truly matters in a time of leadership is how power is exercised, Fubara said he is ever willing to re-present the state’s 2025 appropriation bill before the members of the State House of Assembly.

Fubara noted that he has consistently tried to reach the speaker through calls and even WhatsApp messages, all to no avail.

He said that Amaewhule cannot deny his claim that he (the governor) has been trying to reach him for a truce to the benefit of the Rivers people.

While encouraging his supporters, especially the youths for their efforts so far, the governor reaffirmed his committment to act with restraint.

According to Fubara, life is beyond whatever gains one can get from politics.

The governor further assured his supporters that the battle was not lost as he was optimistic that in no time, God would grant them victory.
