Social users fired off several think pieces after seeing the photo. One user wrote, “I don’t know the backstory here but I’ll just comment generally that when I went to visit my Dad it felt horrible to be treated differently than my brothers. I’m sure a lot of it wasn’t intentional but for a little kid you pick up on everything.”
The stepmom wasn’t here for the backlash and added context to the viral photos in a social media post. “His daddy couldn’t find any and we already had our pjs and I also said I didn’t feel comfortable with him not matching but it was tooo late because our shoot was literally mins away & i DEFINITELY didn’t know he was going to be in our pictures,” she wrote.
“The MOTHER THAT I AM I WOULD NEVERRRRRRRR EVERRRR LEAVE HIM OUT OF NUN & I never did. & as many times as this girl said F*** MY KIDS I NEVER TREATED HIM DIFFERENTLY.”
However, the boy’s mom says that’s all cap. She claims they knew her son was coming over and even highlighted that he needed a haircut but never mentioned the pjs. She also took to social media and said: “My son’s pajamas are from last year I sent those from home they are something to sleep in not take

“My son could have atleast got a fresh new set of pajamas,” she continued. “They got him in highwaters THATS THE MAIN POINT!
