The naira also appreciated to N1,570.99 per dollar in the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM).
According to data from the FMDQ, the indicative exchange rate for NAFEM fell to N1,570.99 per dollar from N1,574.2 per dollar last Friday, showing N3.21 appreciation for the naira.
The volume of dollars traded in the market declined by 23.7 percent to $246.44 million from $323.11 million traded last weekend.
The margin between the parallel market and NAFEM rate also widened to N10.8 per dollar from N9.01 per dollar last week Friday.
