Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli this summer despite signing a contract extension with the club last December, and he has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal reportedly interested in his signature.
Other reports have also suggested that Paris Saint-Germain and Osimhen have agreed personal terms, but negotiations between Napoli and PSG has since collapsed.
Nicol believes that if given the choice between Osimhen and Havertz, Arsenal should choose Osimhen to lead their attack as he is a superior goal scorer.
“If somebody said to you, you can either have Havertz or Osimhen. Are you really going to take Havertz?
“You are not going to take him in a million years over Osimhen. So, if you can afford it, I agree with Shaka’s point.
“When it really matters and you have only one chance in a game, again the question is it going to be Havertz or Osimhen.
“Everybody will say he scored in the Champions League final, but the truth is he takes too many chances to score that Osimhen won’t,” the former Scottish defender said in an interview with ESPN.
