Nigerian man attacks policemen during drug raid in India

Mumbai: Chaos erupted in Nalasopara on Saturday after a drug raid took a violent turn, leaving four policemen and a civilian witness injured. The incident occurred when a team from the Tulinj police station, acting on a tip-off, raided the residence of Nigerian national Onyejesi Obum Kingley at Tara Basera Apartments, Pragati Nagar, Nalasopara east.

As the team entered his fourth-floor flat, the accused allegedly resisted and turned violent, attacking the raiding party. The civilian witness, who accompanied the team, bore the brunt of the assault as Kingley reportedly pinned him down, stood on his hand, and continued to thrash him.
