The condolence visit which took place at the residence of late Onoja in Apata-Ega, Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area of Kogi State was described as emotional.
Hon. Onoja, a former Chairman of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area, was widely respected as a bridge-builder, grassroots mobiliser, and a firm believer in peace and unity.
While addressing the grieving family, Governor Ododo described the late aide as “a brother, friend, and loyal colleague”, whose commitment to public service and the unity of Kogi State would not be forgotten.
The Governor pledged to personally sponsor the education and welfare of the children left behind by Hon. James Onoja, assured them that their father’s legacy would continue to be honoured by the state.
Governor Ododo also visited Okene in Okene Local Government Area to commiserate with the family of Hon. Jato Onimisi Suleiman, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Tourism, over their father’s loss.
The Governor described the late Hon. Jato Onimisi Suleiman as a committed party man and dependable aide whose loyalty and service to Kogi State would be deeply missed.
