Ondo Monarch Killed: Gunmen Invade Palace, Abduct, Murder Agamo Community Leader

Gunmen have killed Kehinde Jacob Faledon, the traditional ruler of the Agamo community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, in a brazen attack on his palace. The assailants invaded the monarch’s residence on Wednesday night, forcibly taking him away. Minutes later, Faledon was found with gunshot injuries at a location close to his home and was confirmed dead at the scene.

Police spokesperson Jimoh Abayomi stated that a community representative alerted the division around 7:50 pm. The command has launched an investigation, with tactical teams, local hunters, Atuluse Security, and Amotekun operatives combing surrounding bushes and neighbouring communities to track down the perpetrators. Monitoring activities have been strengthened to ensure resident safety and prevent breakdown of law and order.
