PDP national working committee members meet in Abuja

Members of the National Working Committee of the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are currently having a meeting in Abuja.

Politics Nigeria understands that this particular meeting is crucial to the party’s move to address some of the leadership crisis rocking it.

Taking place at the PDP’s national headquarters in Abuja, the party NWC members are said to be meeting behind closed-doors.

The meeting, presided by Umar Damagum, the national chairman of the PDP, comes shortly after the Supreme Court dismissed a motion for stay of execution of a High Court judgement removing Samel Anyanwu as the national secretary of the party and replacing him with Sunday Udeh Okoye.
