Nigerians on X have reacted to the widespread reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has summoned the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike to appear before a disciplinary committee.... CLICK TO READ THE FULL NEWS HERE▶▶
“The PDP has sent a letter to Wike, requesting his presence before the disciplinary committee to address the allegations of anti-party activities and sabotage,” the popular X account Nigeria Stories reported.
Wike, a former Governor of Rivers State, had a falling out with the party’s leadership after assisting President Bola Tinubu in winning the election in the state. He has since threatened to undermine the authority of the governors in their respective states.
During a meeting with delegates of his faction on Sunday, September 1 in Port Harcourt, where they were gathered to elect new executives at the party’s secretariat, he confidently stated that no one could take away the structure he had put in place. He insisted that he is the leader of the party in the state.
The FCT minister warned the PDP governors who suggested transferring their structure to someone else to expect political turmoil in their own states.
Speaking to his loyal delegates, Wike reiterated that he is the party leader in the state and declared that no one could dismantle his structure.
He said: “And let me tell people – I heard some governors who said they will take away my structure and give it to somebody. I pity those governors because I will put fire in their states. When God has given you peace, you say you don’t want peace, then whatever you see, you take.
“I don’t understand simply because l hear they got some money from a signature bonus; and so, their heads are getting big, that you put a hand in my own state. Prepare, prepare, because I have the capacity to also do the same thing in your own state.
“Whether you are from Bauchi, I don’t give a damn. Whichever state you come from, as far as I know, that you are trying to put yourself in Rivers State, your hand will get burnt. And you will never sleep in your own state.
“You will not be governor again. You will see a political crisis as far as PDP is concerned.

Wike has plans to ditch the PDP for the APC, but before he does that, he wants to sabotage the PDP from the inside.
Only Wike has the power to pull off something like that, and he shouldn’t be allowed to do it, he needs to be stopped.
