Speaking during his media chat with select journalists at his residence the minister said PDP can be likened to a student who follows his classmates to every study activity by fails to actual put in efforts into reading.

He said that what the opposition party members and leaders are currently doing is deceiving themselves that there are preparing for the 2027 election but in actual sense they are not.

“They are not ready, it is very obvious. Look I have told you, I have an examination, I am going to class to read. Indeed have I read? Have I studied? You don’t need to deceive anybody because you know that you’re not reading.

“You’re only trying to let people know that you have carried your bag to class oo! You see my colleagues going to prep so let me go there too. You reach there, you’re doing nothing…You know yourself,” Wike said.

The Minister also claimed that a lot of people, especially the politicians fail to listen to his message for the party because of their hatred for him.

According to Wike, one need not be friends with him or like him before he or she accepts that he is saying the truth or spitting facts about the power tussle within the PDP and its detriment.

He said, “So PDP cannot say for sure… It is not a question of whether you like me or not. Like I said before, you don’t need to like me but what I am saying, is it correct?

“What I am saying, is it what would help the party? All these power struggle cannot help us,” he added.
