President Tinubu appoints Rabiu Garba as Fed. Commissioner, RMAFC

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of the Rabiu Garba as federal commissioner of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC)... CLICK TO READ THE FULL NEWS HERE▶▶

Rabiu Garba, a former Commissioner of Finance, Commerce and Works under the administration of former Governor of Zamfara state, Bello Matawalle is among the twenty persons recently appointed as federal commissioners at RMAFC from States across the Country.

Until his appointment, he was the Special Advisor on Political Matters to the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle.

The presidency acknowledged the appointment in a press release signed by Ajuri Ngilale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

Rabiu Garba, as Commissioner of Finance in Zamfara, introduced many reforms that helped the then-government of Ex-Governor Matawalle address critical issues.

Some of the reforms include the finding of phantom workers on the state government payroll, the establishment of a Due Process Office, and promoting accountability and openness, among other important measures.

Others chosen as federal commissioners of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), along with Rabiu Garba from Zamfara state, are;

Linda Nkechi Oti — Abia state, Akpan Imo Effiong — Akwa Ibom, Enefe Ekene — Anambra, Professor Steve Ugba — Benue, Eyonsa — Cross-River, Aruviere Egharhevwe — Delta and Nduka Henry Awuregu — Ebonyi

Others are Victor Eboigbe — Edo, Wumi Ogunlola — Ekiti, Ozo Obumreme Obodougo — Enugu, Kabir Ibrahim Mashi — Katsina, Adamu Fanda — Kano, Dr. Kunle Wright — Lagos, Aliyu Almakura Abdulkadir — Nasarawa, Bako Shetima — Niger and Samuel Durojaye — Ogun

They include Nathaniel Adejutelegan — Ondo, Saad Bello Ibrahim — Plateau, Modu-Aji Juluri — Yobe and Mohammed Kabeer Usman — Gombe

The appointments according to the press release from the presidency are subject to confirmation by the Senate.

President Bola Tinubu expects the new federal commissioners to demonstrate absolute fidelity to the nation in the discharge of their duties.
