President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared a State of Emergency in Rivers following the crisis rocking the state.
Tinubu in a live broadcast on Tuesday, revealed that the political crisis has taken a terrible turn as the State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, refused to embrace peace and abide by the rule of law.
The President however nominated retired military chief Ekwe Ibas to take charge in Rivers, which is at the heart of Nigeria’s oil industry.
