The Rivers State youths under the All Progressives Congress (APC), held a solidarity walk to show support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration on Tuesday, August 14, 2024.
This comes after residents joined the ten-day nationwide protests against bad governance, economic hardships, insecurity, hunger, and the high cost of living, among other crises.
Days after the protest concluded, the APC youths, calling themselves the Coalition of Renewed Hope Family, took to the streets to support Tinubu’s government.
The group drove in a long truck, singing, dancing, playing music, and waving banners with the faces of President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
However, things took a different turn as residents booed and rained insults on them.
