SOLUDO KICKS OFF RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN IN ONITSHA SOUTH, RECEIVES MASSIVE SUPPORT FROM APGA STRUCTURES, YOUTH GROUPS, AND PARTY LEADERS
Fegge, Onitsha Wednesday, October 22, 2025
Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, today formally flagged off his re-election campaign at the Fegge Township Stadium, Onitsha South Local Government Area, marking the official commencement of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) campaign ahead of the 2025 Anambra gubernatorial election.
The rally, described as one of the most electrifying political gatherings in recent times, drew an overwhelming crowd of APGA members, traditional rulers, market leaders, artisans, students, traders, and political support groups from across Anambra State.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Governor Soludo expressed appreciation to Ndi Anambra for their steadfast faith in his administration’s transformation agenda. He highlighted key achievements of his government in the areas of infrastructure, education, technology, agriculture, youth empowerment, and environmental renewal, pledging to sustain the developmental momentum into his second term.
“From Onitsha South, the heart of our commercial capital, we are sending a clear message that the Soludo Solution is working. We will continue to expand opportunities for our youth, deepen grassroots development, and uphold the APGA spirit of inclusiveness and progress,” Governor Soludo stated to thunderous applause.
Also present at the rally was the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, who led the party’s national leadership to the event. In his remarks, Ezeokenwa commended Governor Soludo for redefining governance through innovation, transparency, and youth inclusion. He called on Ndi Anambra to consolidate the gains of the Soludo administration by returning APGA to power in 2025.
Among the prominent groups that featured at the flag-off was the Soludo Youth Progressive Support Group (SYPSG), also known as the “One Youth, Two Skills” initiative; an empowerment-driven network of both old and newly graduated smart Youthpreneurs trained under Soludo’s skills acquisition programmes. The group turned out in large numbers, displaying banners and chanting solidarity songs in appreciation of the governor’s continued investment in youth development.
Speaking on behalf of the youth participants, a SYPSG coordinator described Soludo as “a governor who walks the talk on youth empowerment”, pledging that the group would mobilize across the 326 wards of Anambra State to ensure a landslide victory for APGA.
The event was further graced by the APGA State Chairman, local government executives, women leaders, and stakeholders from all 21 LGAs, who reaffirmed their loyalty to the party’s vision and praised Soludo’s developmental strides, especially in Onitsha’s ongoing infrastructural renewal.
The campaign flag-off, which featured cultural dances, solidarity performances, and colorful displays of APGA regalia, ended with renewed pledges from Onitsha South residents to deliver massive votes for the party.
Governor Soludo’s convoy departed the Fegge Stadium amid cheers, as chants of “APGA! Nkea bu nke anyi!” echoed through the streets of Onitsha.
