Her appointment was announced on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in a statement issued by the Presidency shortly after the Federal Executive Council meeting.
Jumoke Oduwole was also appointed as the minister of industry, trade, and investment alongside five other individuals.
Meanwhile, the president sacked five ministers from his cabinet. This was made known by special adviser to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun.
