President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences following the tragic fuel tanker explosion at Dikko Junction in Niger State on January 17, 2025. The explosion, which occurred in the Gurara Local Government Area, claimed the lives of over 80 people and left many others injured. President Tinubu described the incident as deeply sorrowful and preventable, as many victims were reportedly scooping fuel from the overturned tanker when the explosion occurred.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu extended his heartfelt sympathies to the victims’ families and the people of Niger State.
