Alhaji Aliko Dangote, CEO of Dangote Group, has donated N2 billion to support those affected by the recent flood in Maiduguri, Borno State capital. The donation consists of N1 billion from the Presidential Committee on Flood and Disaster, which Dangote chairs, and an additional N1 billion from the Dangote Foundation.... Dangote announced the donation during a sympathy visit to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum in Maiduguri, where he expressed concern over the devastating impact of the flood. He described the situation as “mind-boggling” and “disastrous,” noting that many houses had been submerged and their foundations weakened.
The business mogul urged corporate Nigerians to support the Borno State Government in addressing the destruction caused by the flood. “The government cannot do it alone. We need to help ensure that people do not continue to suffer,” he said.

Governor Zulum expressed gratitude to Dangote for his support, while Dangote pledged to continue mobilizing funds and resources to alleviate the suffering of the affected people. He was accompanied by Nasarawa State Governor, Engr Abdullahi Sule, during the visit.
