He made this statement in a post shared on his X platform while expressing his thoughts on Kenneth Okonkwo’s recent outburst about the Labour Party’s leadership.

During an interview, Kenneth Okonkwo, the spokesperson for Peter Obi and Baba Datti Ahmed presidential election Council, described the LP leadership led by Julius Abure as clowns. He also threatened to defect if the party continue on its current path, as change is constant.

Okonkwo further said: “Gang of criminals. And you don’t have shame, you can’t come out and tell people that you did a national convention. What are you going to tell the over six million people that voted for you? The whole members wanting to come in, you want to tell them that they won’t even have the right to choose who their leaders are. And you want them to join your party? You’re a joker. Those people, they are clowns. The greatest joke that I have ever seen in any political party. And then you want to position yourself as a party of integrity. You can’t give what you don’t have.”

His comments sparked significant reactions from social media users including Reno Omokri who suggested that Okonkwo had finally acknowledged that Peter Obi lost the 2023 presidential election when he mentioned the six million votes.

According to Omokri, the Labour Party and its supporters are aware of the truth that they lost the election.

He wrote: “The funniest thing is that in his now viral interview, Peter Obi’s spokesman, who is now on his way back to the APC, actually admitted that Peter Obi lost the #NigerianElections2023, by referencing the number of votes he got. You see, they know the truth. Let me even trigger you some more: Peter Obi will NEVER, EVER be President of Nigeria. Tufiakwa!”
