Nicholas Ukachukwu on Saturday emerged as the Anambra governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ukachukwu clinched the party’s ticket ahead of the November poll flooring Valentine Ozigbo who had just defected from the Labour Party.
At the party’s primary election, Ukachukwu garnered 1,455 votes while Ozigbo polled a total of 67 votes.
Reacting to his victory, Ukachukwu said he is prepared to clinch the Anambra governorship seat for the party.
His words, “We shall deliver Anambra to the APC. One thing I want to say here, nobody has won the governorship of Anambra without my support; it has never happened before.
“I have been playing godfatherism, but now I want to be the father of the father, no more godfather,” the APC’s Anambra governorship candidate said.
