President Mbasogo dismissed Engonga for “irregularities committed in the exercise of his functions, as well as inappropriate family and social conduct for the performance of public functions,” as stated in Decree number 118/2024, dated November 4.
Authorities discovered over 400 sex tapes involving Engonga and several women, including the wives of high-profile figures such as ministers, police officials, and even the President’s sister.
In the video that has surfaced on social media, Engonga was seen in the courtroom after what appeared to be the conclusion of a court proceeding. In the presence of pressmen and a crowd, he was escorted into a vehicle and driven away.
Baltasar Ebang Engonga has been dominating social media trends since the scandal broke.
The tapes, allegedly filmed with the women’s consent, were found during a raid on Engonga’s office and later leaked online, causing public outrage.
