New Fulham signing Emile Smith Rowe has dedicated his debut goal to Super Eagles duo Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey.
The 23-year-old, who joined the Cottagers from Arsenal last week in a deal worth £34 million, scored against Sevilla after coming on as a second half substitute in the preseason friendly.
The England international pulled a goal back in the 52nd minute after the Rojiblancos had taken a two-goal lead, courtesy of Isaac Romero’s brace.
Sharing his thoughts after the game, the former Gunners man had his post-match interview interfered by Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, two teammates who has helped him settle after completing his move to Creven Cottage.
“These two, honestly, they’re jokers. I love my new teammates, and I’ve settled in really well. I feel really comfortable. I dedicate my goal to you two because I think you welcomed me into the team,” Smith Rowe told Super Eagles duo, Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi.
Marco Silva’s side will begin their Premier League campaign against Manchester United at Old Trafford on August 16.
