The Governor’s resolute pledge came during a condolence visit to the Huba Chiefdom and Godwin’s family, amid rising concerns over insurgent attacks in the Damna and Banga communities.
Speaking at the palace of Tøl Huba, HRH Alheri Bulus Nyako, in Hong, Fintiri condemned the “gruesome murder” of the 49-year-old Godwin, assuring the community that his administration is actively pursuing the perpetrators.

“As Chief Security Officer of this state, I must unravel all that is involved in the killing of this young man,” he declared. “We’ve started the investigation, and we are seeing pointers. Very soon, the perpetrators will face the full wrath of the law.”
Fintiri emphasized that such violence has no place in Adamawa, a state striving for peace. He urged Godwin’s family and the Huba Chiefdom to find solace in faith, while reaffirming his commitment to securing rural communities.

The Governor also addressed recent insurgent attacks in Damna and Banga, expressing sympathy for the loss of lives and pledging enhanced security measures in collaboration with the Office of the National Security Adviser and the Huba Chiefdom.
The Governor highlighted his administration’s broader efforts to uplift the region, including reducing the number of out-of-school children from half a million in 2019 to under 50,000 through partnerships with stakeholders like UNICEF.
He announced plans for new classrooms and schools to further accommodate students, alongside initiatives to strengthen the Huba Chiefdom’s prosperity.
