Why I Didn’t Follow M.C. OLUOMO To ABUJA

The popular National Union of Road Transport Worker topshot in Lagos, Mr Ayinde Oyedepo, popularly known as Koko Zaria, has come out to clearly state why he and his former boss, Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, are fighting. A lot of people have accused Koko Zaria of betrayer over the last few months.... CLICK TO READ THE FULL NEWS HERE▶▶

Oyedepo, has publicly pledged allegiance to Mustapha Adekunle the new Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State who goes by the street name Seego.

A few weeks back, Zaria celebrated his shifted loyalty with a trending video of the happenstance where he touted another transport unionist and NURTW Topshop Yusuf Sulaimon, as the new number one in Oshodi.

A few weeks back, popular NURTW big boy Koko Zaria was on Facebook live and he revealed what led to his rift with the former Chairman of NURTW Lagos State, , Musiliu Akinsaya Ayinde, popular known as MC Oluomo. He said MC Oluomo told him about his ambition to move to Abuja to vie for presidency of the National NURTW in Abuja. He said, he told MC Oluomo, to remember he can’t write nor speak English and you want to rule as president. This is the same person who drove away Olorunwa, from the presidency. He also spoilt Agbede’s name before the anutorities. He insisted that he wants to run for Presidency. You said you no longer want to be the State Chairman again. I only told him, “since you can’t write nor read you shouldn’t go. That’s why they started calling me a betrayer”. What am I going to Abuja to do? I don’t have what it takes. I am not educated. I’m just a member of NURTW. I don’t want to be seen fighting around you. I don’t want people to start tarnishing my name and image. My children are getting older by the day.

You (MC Oluomo) are into various committees and unions before who are bringing money to you as the NURTW Lagos Chairman. Keke Napep Union, Motorcycle etc. The new Lagos State NURTW chairman, Seego has said he doesn’t want that to continue again.

He (MC Oluomo) wants to be 3 things at the same time. He wants to become King, as well. That’s what happened.

While in Lagos; the power-sharing arrangement in Oshodi is such that while MC Oluomo was the Chairman of the transport union backed by the Lagos power cycle, he was the number one and named “President” in the fearsome area with Sulaimon prominently known by the street name, Nayam, as the second-in-command and credited with the position of “Vice President” – and Zaria who was extremely close to Akinsanya, dubbed “Defence Minister”.

But Zaria, in a surprising twist, less than a month after MC Oluomo, left office as State Chairman of the NURTW is touting Nayam, as the President.

insiders attribute this development to “underlying factors” that have always been there when MC Oluomo, was in power.

“There have always been underlying factors, issues but the fact that MC Oluomo was the State Chairman (of NURTW) kept everything in check until now” according to those in the know.

Since MC Oluomo, is no longer in power, Zaria, reportedly chose not to accommodate “his excesses again” and opted for a more rewarding association by pitching his tent with the new Chairman, Seego.

Koko Zaria’s open antagonism to MC Oluomo has opened a floodgate of reactions for and against his move.

And it has emboldened many others who were wary of taking soft punches against the former NURTW Chairman here and there to do so.

We also gathered that MC Oluomo is not finding it difficult at all at the national level. It was supposed to be a walk in the park, but the chances of Musiliu Akinsanya, the famous transport union boss – also known as MC Oluomo – becoming the President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) are becoming tougher insiders say.

His main challenger Tajudeen Agbede is said to be gaining more ground by the day. Agbede is leveraging the spiraling out-of-control face-off between MC Oluomo and Seego (real name Mustapha Adekunle), the new state Chairman of the NURTW in Lagos State, to achieve his aim.

We hear that Agbede is getting more chummy with Seego by the day and many in the latter’s camp have started rooting for him based on the reasoning that it defies logic to help someone working against one’s interest to a higher position.

In the last few days, he seems to be confused about the whole saga. What we also gathered is that MC Oluomo who feels he had the support of Mr President seems not to be the case. His chances are slim.

The talks are that Seego’s influence is at the level that he will have a big say in who becomes the National President of the NURTW and with estrangement with MC Oluomo unceasing, it appears Agbede may likely get it,” insiders say.

Agbede wanted to become the National President of the NURTW after exiting office but was stopped by a combined force mustered by MC Oluomo and Sego. But it now seems Seego is fully in support of Agbede to become the National President. We also heard he has told Agbede that all his supports and members from Lagos will back him.
