Wike revokes PDP national secretariat land

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has withdrawn the land allocation for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat in Abuja.

The revocation, detailed in a letter dated March 13, 2025, was attributed to PDP’s failure to pay annual ground rents for two decades, spanning from January 1, 2006, to January 1, 2025.

The letter, signed by Chijioke Nwankwoeze, Director of Land Administration in the FCT, formally conveyed the decision.

Exercising his authority under the Land Use Act No. 6 of 1978, Wike enforced the revocation due to non-compliance with land tenure regulations.

This action is part of a wider enforcement initiative by the FCT administration, which has revoked over 4,700 land titles in Abuja over outstanding payments.
