Wike Tightens Grip as He Opposes Fubara’s Second Term Ambition

1234 BREAKING NEWS: “All Can Never Be Well” — FCT Minister Wike Says Rift With Fubara Is Far From Over. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has vowed to stop the re-election of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, at the 2027 general election.

Naija News reports that Wike, during a visit to the Ahoada West Local Government Area, LGA of Rivers State, on Sunday, said he will not listen to any instruction regarding Fubara’s re-election.

According to him, Governor Fubara reneged on an agreement twice, stressing that the mistake of 2023 will not be repeated.

Wike stated that during his administration as Rivers State Governor, the state challenged the federal government on some issues and won, stating that the state was in charge during the last administration.

He said, “I heard people saying that they will call me and give me instructions. Let me tell you, there is nothing like instruction as far as Rivers State is concerned. Nobody will call me.

“You had the first agreement, somebody reneged, second agreement, he reneged, then which call will you accept again? We will not make that mistake again.

“It has nothing to do with me as a person. As a minister of the Federal Capital Territory, I’m very comfortable.

“It is about the people. When I was governor, Rivers State was respected nationally. When I speak at that time, you will know that Rivers State is in charge.1234 BREAKING NEWS: “All Can Never Be Well” — FCT Minister Wike Says Rift With Fubara Is Far From Over
