In the viral video that was shared online, he said the people were denied their right to peaceful gathering and it is not constitutional. He said if the protesters were allowed to exhaust the ten days, there won’t be any day for them to protest again.
He said;
“The protests didn’t stop, but the people were denied their constitutional rights which is treasonable. The constitution says people have the right to protest as long as it is done within the provison of the law. The people have also accused the government of sponsoring thugs which was captured on camera in Lagos state but nobody did anything to those people who caused mayhem.
The truth of the matter is that we can not continue to stiffle and deny the people the right to ventilate their anger because the more we do that, we are only expanding the issue. If you had allowed them to exhaust their ten days, there will not be any day for them to take part again in any protest but by threatening them, you are telling them to go back again and regroup”.
