Equatorial Guinea striker Emilio Nsue has apologised for missing a penalty during his side’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, Round of 16 defeat to Guinea on Sunday....For More CONTINUE THE FULL READING▶▶

Nsue, who is currently the 2023 AFCON top scorer with five goals, missed a penalty in the second half against Guinea.

However, a late stoppage-time goal from Mohamed Bayo gave Guinea a 1-0 win over Equatorial Guinea.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Nsue also said that his team will learn from their mistakes going forward.

I apologise personally for my penalty miss,” Nsue said.

“They won at the last minute; we have to learn from our mistakes and keep working.”
