Today marks 2 years of incompetence

A lawyer and Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo has described the two years of leadership of the All Progressives Congress led by President Bola Tinubu as years of incompetence.

Okonkwo’s remark comes as Nigeria commemorates the second anniversary of President Tinubu’s time as the president of the country.

President Bola Tinubu was sworn into power as Nigeria’s president on May 29, 2023, after gathering the highest number of votes during the last presidential election.

Tinubu during the election had slugged it out alongside Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party; Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party.

He was further declared winner of the 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), headed by Yakubu Mahmood.

In a post shared on X, Okonkwo who is a member of the Labour Party and a strong supporter of Peter Obi said Tinubu’s administration has been marred by waste, deceit, hunger, insecurity and the like of it.

He also blamed the chairman of INEC for “installing” Tinubu as president.

He wrote, “Today marks two years of incompetence, corruption, deceit, waste, hunger, insecurity, hardship, deprivation, and degradation of Nigerians under Tinubu, installed against Nigerians by Prof Yakubu Mahmood.”

Okonkwo who made a short prayer for the nation and Nigerians said, “May affliction not rise a second time against Nigerians come 2027.”
