Members of the Obidient Movement on Saturday visited the family of the late Doyin Okupe, a former presidential aide to Goodluck Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo. Okupe, a former Director General of the Labour Party’s 2023 Presidential Campaign Organisation died on Friday during a surgery in a Lagos hospital. Despite dumping the movement to support the policies and administration of President Bola Tinubu – which many described as a betrayal to the Obidient group and Peter Obi – members of the group showed solidarity for his family.
