Bashir, one of the sons of the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has shared the logo of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Politics Nigeria had earlier reported that the governor had dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for SDP on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Amid his father’s resignation from APC, Bashir shared the logo of the SDP on his X account.
Although, there was no accompanying message or caption for the photo shared by Bashir, the post as of press time has garnered 122K views, 2.2K likes, 522 reposts and 255 replies.
One of the replies under the post from Clement Tanimose said, “Any alignment of forces for the purpose of unseating Tinubu that is done under any other party umbrella other than PDP is not serious and not yet ready for 2027.
“You will end up giving a collective backing to return Tinubu to Aso Villa in 2027,” Tanimose wrote.
Another X user, Adamu Ibrahim Aliyu wrote, “Malam Nasir El-Rufai has shown courage and vision in this decision. If his new path brings progress and justice to the people, we wish him success. May Allah grant him victory!”
